With access to herbs like that you wouldn’t need counseling.

Unfortunately, the best herb ever discovered for medical (and recreational) purposes is illegal throughout the world.
Several places have decided to decriminalize while Colorado and Oregon voters decided to legalize.
However, nothing can actually be done until the U.S. government wakes up and realizes that cannabis (Schedule I) should not be treated as a worse drug than cocaine (Schedule II).
Marijuana should be rescheduled as a Schedule V drug or taken off the list altogether.

    re: Ashburn Stadium
Oregon had it legal from 1973 to 1997. I had to WATCH person after person destroy their lives, their health, and their minds. Most never recovered. Many are dead.
The Lord rebuke you in Jesus’ Name for such a completely false comment.

How many drunks have you watched destroy themselves? Some do it with gambling, some with relationships.

As the old saying goes “You can’t legislate morality."
I would point out that that’s exactly what most laws do— and are intended to do. What lots of times it comes down to is where the morality comes from. Some people prefer tradition — be it legal, cultural, or religious. Some others go with “If I don’t think it’s bad, it can’t be immoral.” Still others have other criteria. Pay your money and take your choice.

Also, coca leaves are healthy and non-addictive as a whole food/tea. It is only the refined cocaine that is dangerous. The US sponsors destroying the crops of coca farmers in Bolivia, who have farmed it from before Jamestown, who have have done nothing wrong. The cocaine refiners are in Nicaragua, and the coke heads are in the US.

For that matter, it would be much cheaper to just treat coke addiction as a disease, and make sure addicts get their hits – which would be cheap when not sold by gangsters. Did you know that John Hopkins was a life long addict? He experimented with refined cocaine on himself as a potential anaesthetic. It is still sometimes used in dentistry as a topical anaesthetic.

The reason Marijuana is so high on the list (Pun) is that it is the introductory substance to all the other heavey duty chemicals that wreck people’s (Especially the young) health and lives. It’s how the grooming takes place for much more expensive and profitable euphoria. So now you know.

Society needs the fewest rules that everyone can get along with. Just because something is legal doesn’t make it good.
Christians, on the other hand, have a fuller book of rules, many of which are their own. One person’s rules are not always another person’s rules.
Eating to much candy makes some people sicker than others, so, does that make eating candy wrong?
