Ah, “I miss Bush” – another conservative whack-job responding to truth with red herring lies.

You’re an idiot! It isn’t about thr riots in Kiev, Ukraine. It is the violent attack of Putin’s Cossacks upon the rock group Pussy Riot in Sochi. Try following what happens in the worlds before you open your mouth and insert your foot.

I just can’t believe how these guys play to Tsarist type. Cossacks whipping people in the street? They just needed the horses. Jeez!

I don’t recognize your avatar; you may be new here.

You will soon see that reasoned debate is neither entertained nor desired by I Miss Bush. Best to ignore him/her.

What’s the world coming to when Cossacks can’t be Cossacks? I mean, we shouldn’t try to limit our pejoritive terminology…
    .
That way when you say “You’re acting like a Cossack” it has some real meaning.

Abraham Lincoln spoke of tsarist Russia as a place where “they make no pretense of oligarchy.” Putin used to, but he has dropped the pretense. Cossacks with horsewhips? Big hats and all? Please.

Don’t say we love Putin, ever, we hate the idea that Putin has been getting a way with this. The left on the other hand, Adrian Snare for one got upset I called Putin a Dictator, he went on a rant about if he is the Russian people well deal with him. Which is clearly not true.

The Occupy movement, come on, your comparing this to the some 79 killed this week a lone in Ukraine, the thousands dead in Syria with the help of Russia. Do you really want to go there.

Hint; the cops here are a fantasy version of the ones in most parts of the world.

I get why you compared Pussy Riot to the Dixie Chicks, but they are a little far off. Pussy Riot is into the shock jock approach to protesting. I seriously doubt the Dixie Chicks would walk into a Catholic Church during mass and have a concert using profanity.
I’ve watched the videos of Pussy Riot before the Cossack whippings and they really were getting jerked around and stonewall by the Russian government, but the stunt they pulled in a Russian Orthodox church didn’t make them many friends among the populous except the radical elements.
YMMV may vary on who you include in the radical elements group.

Cossacks were horsemen. Tribal. They wanted a homeland but never got it. They were ruled out of existence for a time then allowed back in. They were not anything like the KKK at all in any way. Except they are bullies.

The Oligarchs and Plutocrats here still let us have a pretense of democracy.

The NYPD has a surveillance arm some countries would envy.
