Tired of art snobs and their stuffy old museums? So was Steve Melcher, so he created That Is Priceless -- dedicated to taking art’s greatest masterpieces down a peg with irreverent new titles. You don’t have to be an art lover to appreciate Steve’s sticking it to the man on a regular basis – especially when that man is someone like Caravaggio, who when you look a little closer, was really kind of a jerk.

He looks like he’s feeling a bit stabby.
Interesting how in 1771 he painted a cursor arrow in the lower right corner, how did Jacq know about the future?

Enlarged image can be found here (with a short description), or at the only work by this artist, so far, to appear in Mr. Melcher’s blog.
The Oath of Brutus; Death of Lucretia [AKA Brutus, Lucretius (father of Lucretia) and Collatinus (her husband) Vow to Avenge her Death and to Drive the Tarquins from Rome] isn’t currently described online by its current-location.
Another coloration image can be found here (Google translated). It identifies 4 of the 5 individuals (Brutus isn’t the one with the raised dagger). Another work titled The Oath of Brutus by this artist is shown here. The artist’s Wikipedia page and tiny collection.

Hmm … it isn’t in Mr. Melcher’s blog entry (only link in my earlier comment). Yeah, interesting.

P.S. This Brutus lived around 500 BC. The Brutus, who assassinated Julius Caesar, lived roughly 450 years later.
