I told my grandson, in no uncertain terms, why I was way too young to be a great-grandfather !

I’m having an hard enough time dealing with the fact that my oldest is turning 50 and the youngest 40 ! Especially, since I’m only 39 !!!!

Why would you object to being told you were:
“A great grandfather!!?” (please note the lack of the hyphen)

A senior citizen said to his eighty-year old buddy:
‘So I hear you’re getting married?’
    ‘Yep!’
    ‘Do I know her?’
    ‘Nope!’
‘This woman, is she good looking?’
    ‘Not really.’
    ‘Is she a good cook?’
‘Naw, she can’t cook too well.’
‘Does she have lots of money?’
‘Nope! Poor as a church mouse.’
‘Well, then, is she good in bed?’
    ‘I don’t know.’
‘Why in the world do you want to marry her then?’
    ‘Because she can still drive!’

Reminds me of the news headline today about Steve Martin becoming a Dad for the first time at age 67. What an idiot! He certainly played an impractical joke on himself, his wife and his soon to be child. Yeah he’ll have to live to 85 just to see his kid graduate from high school. He’ll have to deal with a teenage kid when he’s in his 80’s.

I’m guessing he didn’t agree to make the kid for his own gratification. Uh, you know what I mean. Plus, an 80 year old Steve Martin will still probably be pretty capable of dealing with a teenager.
