   I’m willing to give it a try. People are too harsh. Anyone ever seen the first ‘Peanuts’ strip? And I’m still not over Watterson (Calvin & Hobbes) retiring. And how long has that been, 25 years? Give the lady a chance, folks. I’m hoping I can return to these groups in a year or two, and say, “Nyah, nyah, told ya so!”

   Mark, I can give a new artist a try. I get how hard it is to start up a new comic, and understand why you handed it over. But HOTC is like our breakfast that we’ve been eating for 20 years. We love it, and change (especially unannounced) takes a bit of getting used to. I rarely even come to these forums. The last time is when Heart and Dean made the change to middle school. Suddenly, they were much taller!At least I know why the change was made. So I’ll settle in with a new artist, and see how it goes.

   These Christmas comics in July really get me in the Christmas spirit. I think I’ll go drag out my copy of “A Christmas Story” and watch Ralphie shoot his eye out.
