Lavender with a touch of indigo. Hmmmm. Kind of like the color of her dress?

I feel the same, too busy being the mature adult to have any fun. If I do have time to just have fun, would I be any fun?

I loved playing Life, but then I had to bribe my younger sister to play it with me.

It’s not an application. In yesterday’s strip he said that it was time for his physical. The questions are assessing exposure to disease.

It’s the single mom in her that putting the kids schedules ahead of her romance. She’s using the excuse that her kids need her to delay the romantic weekend and using the cookies to make her feel better about it. I’m a single mom during the week (dad works out of state) and I can’t even get myself to go out with a girl friend bcs my kids are so busy.

I know the feeling. I’m there right now, wondering what my boss would say if I asked for a month off.

Re: times kids get on the bus

This would also cause logistical problems for families where the parents both work (or for families with single parents). If the kids go later, the parents get to work even later than that. Many families also have older (high school) kids who get their younger siblings off the bus. The afternoon schedule would have to remain the same for that reason. If the morning schedule were then reversed, the younger kids would have a longer school day than the older ones.

slug_queen: If Jan Eliot knows who Dave Fidanque is and Holly knows who Dave Fidanque is (?), then why doesn’t the teacher know who Dave Fidanque is. Guess it wouldn’t really be funny to anybody if she did know.

The only way a mother can “get away from it all” is to go away by herself, i.e. without the kids.
