And where is such a fast-food place that does NOT accept cash?

I don’t have credit or debit cards. No bills later, no interest tacked on, nobody officially/on the record knowing what I spend money on.

Until you tell everyone on the Internet. You may regret telling some people that you carry a lot of cash.

Cash for everything under $200. Always pay card bills off in full. Handy for Internet and catalogue shopping.

A lot of places have stopped taking cash, it’s more labor intensive and you are less prone to robbery. And olddog, if you are carrying around 200 bucks in cash, rethink. Most places don’t take checks either. Money is going the way of the Dodo, too expensive to print, and bulky to boot.

We’ve stopped taking pennies here in Canada. Now we just round up or round down to the nearest nickle.

I don’t know where you live, but cash is king here. I’ve never heard of a place that wouldn’t accept it. It’s illegal not to. Paper money even states that it’s good for all debts, public and private. You can’t pay with tons of pennies, but currency works.

I have a plastic money card from my bank. no fees and easy to use. just go to the atm and withdraw as much cash as I need. Don’t ever use it as credit. or for getting gas….

You can’t pay in pennies, because that can get overwhelming, but since cash is legal tender(for all debts, public and private), as long as you have correct change anywhere in this country, they have to accept it. They do NOT have to provide change

Oh, a bit like bus drivers in the US and Canada who can’t be bothered. In the UK, our bus drivers give change.

That looks like a large order. It makes me want to head to some sort of fast food place in a hurry! They all have the same addictive qualities of fat, salt and sugar that pull you in off the street, and into their drive-thru window before you can say no to yourself.

If you offer to pay cash and it is refused, the bill is paid because legal payment was refused.
