I haven’t used GoJo in over 30 years, but I still recognize the smell. Hoppe’s #9, it ain’t.

Not what it used to be. They put Corn Huskers Lotion in it now. For the mechanic with delicate skin.

must be a lot of pluggers residing in Indiana, PA…….I’ve seen a disproportional amount of plugger suggestions emanating from there

We used a product at my Dad’s tire shop went by the name of Anco Skin Cleanser

Looked like a cross between sand and kittylitter, turned into a gritty paste when it got wet

Hell on the hands but it did get all that grease and tire gunk off

Our hardware store has Lava in the pump bottle but they said the bar Lava is discontinued. The bar got pretty grungy on the sink, anyhow.

GoJo…. I remember that from way too far back to tell, but it involved sawdust garage floors and lotsa leaky engine and drive-train parts ! If it weren’t for Ford and Harley, I wouldn’t know which end of a wrench to hold today !

I remember something called Solvol from my younger days. It was a grey bar of soap with abrasive particles. This was in Australia and my father always had a supply of it.
