All those waiting for 2,000 years for him to come back, should check out more bus stops for him?

Christmas shopping is the way to a life of poverty. It’s not a lie if you believe it. Our whole world is a living miracle of faith, falsehoods made true by the adherence of believers. Everything is fine otherwise though!

‘Christmas shopping is the way to a life of poverty.’
Yep, because folks buy on the never-never.

Jesus won the war on the Yuletide and now Wal-Mart wants it back.

I’m going to assume you’re being facetious. Otherwise I’d have to remind you of all the tens of millions of people who were tortured, murdered, or otherwise subjugated over the last 1000 years under the guise of Christianity.

    Time for Blitzkrieg on Grinchitude.
This cartoon is sarcasm of the highest order and yet, it is another example of how Christians can tolerate such comments as this one while the same cartoon showing Mohammend would cause rioting in Islamic communities.. And from my reading, when Jesus did go into a ‘market’ and saw the deals, he chased the merchants and moneychangers out of the temple that had been turned over to more secular activities. I don’t think Mr. Bors is being very accurate here.

That’s the problem; we atheists have no saints.

What the hell is the matter with you? Telling those kinds of lies??? You know damn well the #30 bus doesn’t go near Wisconsin Avenue!!

    Now I am confused.
The other day the explanation of ‘camel through the eye of the needle’ was explained as ‘rope’ and ‘camel’ being mixed up.
A previous explanation had ‘needle’ and ‘doorway’ mixed up.
    .
Are all thes ‘mistranslations’ being made up?
Please do not reply using magic interpretations, I am puzzled by the real conflict of differing translations.

The #30 takes Wisconsin Avenue from Van Buren/Jackson Streets all the way to 35th Street. In fact, the #30 bus is called the Sherman-Wisconsin route.

You mean the part that says “Once upon a time…”? ;)

    @Stipple

Yes the mistranslations are being made up. It’s all coming from the “Jesus wants you to be rich” megachurch BS. After all, when you get questioned about the “camel through the eye” and your private fleet of jets, you got to invent something to cover your ass.
    .
After all, Jesus said that if you wanted something you can have it. So all you have to do is really believe and pray really hard, and send the TV preacher your money and you’ll win that lottery. If you don’t, it’s because YOU DON’T HAVE ENOUGH FAITH!
