Terrible artwork! A kindergartener could draw a better test pattern than that! You should have just photocopy one!

Did you also not get your morning coffee?

I can’t remember the last time I saw a test pattern, and I don’t recall an Indian on any of the test patterns I did see.

Okay, had to read up on test patterns. The Indian head disappeared in the 60s not because of political correctness but because color TV required a different type of test pattern. With 24-hour TV since the early 80s, test patterns haven’t been a common sight in the US for around 30 years.

Actually, Josh, the test pattern artwork is very good –it’s done in exactly the same style as the rest of the strip.

Not in my opinion. I give it a D-minus.

I don’t drink coffee. Coffee’s for those who don’t a have a strong will to wake up.

A strong will? More like a cranky personality. Maybe coffee would help you, or maybe nothing will. Nancy (AKAkitty1802)

I wonder if anyone under the age of thirty would even recognize the test pattern at all.

When the game Fallout 3 loads, the Indian test pattern shows up, likely as a homage to the old TV shows.

In Central Illinois, one station played “High Flight”, another “The Star-Spangled Banner”. Then they both went to the test pattern with the LOUD tone. I think it was to wake up those who’d fallen asleep in front of the TV and get them off to bed. ;-)
