    From emptc12 on another thread:

Next, in Poland: Romney meets Lech Walesa (former head of Solidarity) and explains why unions are bad.

This is hilarious. Thanks, Tom! And does anyone else find it weird that Romney won’t watch his own wife’s event in the Olympics? Is that supposed to make him look tough, or just uncaring and unsupportive?

Danziger once drew a cartoon about Richard Cheney shooting a hunting companion. Cheney was dressed as Elmer Fudd, and the caption had him exclaiming, “Gwacious!”/

In the collection in which this cartoon later appeared , Danziger commented, “And sometimes you wake up and find they’ve done our job for us.”

Romney is quick to point to his wife’s illness whenever there is outside criticism, but he’s to busy to support her when she performs in the Olympics. If he won’t support his own wife, what can we expect from him?

@Jack75287: Romney’s the one who has said IN PUBLIC that he won’t watch his wife and the mother of his children compete in the Olympics, a competition she (or at least her horse’s trainer) has worked very hard for, but the thing that bothers you in that scenario is Toles’ pointing it out?

Mitt sometimes reminds me of Bill Clinton in the sense that they both sometimes to seem to have an almost pathological need to be liked. But Clinton was able to like back (too often and with far too many of the wrong women, of course, but still……….) Mitt doesn’t seem able to like people back if they’re not his family or his cronies.

‘Really moronic, Toles. Romnety wasn’t in the UK when that event happened.’-Did he make a side trip to Switzerland, or Bermuda?

While horses, and riding them, is excellent psychological and physical therapy for folks with disabilities, how does having a very expensive horse, that someone else rides, help?
