T.J. is street smart. Shannon is playing a game. The real question is — Why is Shannon playing this game? The kid is very mature for her age and wants something — What does she want?

I don’t remember a time in any of TJ’s harebrained schemes that he actually quoted any statistics. So, at the end of this arc, we will find that either 100% or 0% of all statistics TJ quoted were made up.

84%?????? that seems high……… I think is more like 70 to 75%, than after that is a friend’s house that is 2 blocks or less away, than 3rd is a friend that is more than 2 blocks away, 4th is with the boyfriend or girlfriend, after that is when we get “real runaways”, and most are 12 and up in age, and from either a foster family or a home where the kid is abused…. and those cases is what is put the most in the news or talked about

I still think Shannon set off for WeenieWorld, to get more revenge on Ann Eiffel as well as to get more attention from Brad and Toni (who seemed more interested in that Mushy Stuff). Whether she got there in the rain is questionable. She may have doubled back to the house, where, now warm and dry, she awaits the return of the grown-ups. Grown-ups are so weird!

A 5 year old would not run out alone and go to Weenie World- that’s just asinine. Thus far, I don’t understand the point of this storyline- how it advances the characters, the lessons to be learned. Other than both Toni and Brad are unfit to be parents. In the meantime, it hasn’t been all that entertaining or amusing- and I’m most interested in these characters, more so than Luann and the rest…

Well I decided to go back & look at the story line because there was so much talk about how Shannon is making them pay for ignoring her & getting mushy. And how they only gave the house a cursory look. In actuality Shannon got up & left after telling her story, Brad & Toni were just sitting on the couch discussing the grief TJ was giving Ann when she walked out of the room & didn’t start the “mushy stuff” until after she was out of sight. When Brad went to go look for her, he came back & said he’d looked in every room of the house, sounds thorough to me. My theory is that he DID look in every room in the house EXCEPT the one they were in & she was hiding behind a chair or bookshelf or something spying on them. As for the door, the wind blew it open because TJ didn’t latch it when he left for work.

If you don’t like my posts, don’t read ‘em, but to characterize everyone other than yourself as a “lame commenter” does them a disservice. I’m not going to apologize for either having an education, an opinion or the ability to express myself, nor restrict myself to commenting “uh oh” because I assume everyone here is too dumb to be able to read anything more challenging. If you find this somehow threatening, then I really do think it’s your problem – at least I credit others here with having intelligence and the ability to disagree with me openly rather than sulk about it for weeks. .If someone posts something that’s factually incorrect, is something I disagree with, or posts misogynistic/misandristic bias or legal or historical misinformation as “fact”, then I have just as much right to comment on it as you, or anyone else. If that comes off as “self-righteous”, then that’s your opinion – you’re entitled to it. However, I don’t ever tell people to go post somewhere else because I don’t like what it is they write. That instruction is, to me, pretty damn “self-righteous” in itself..FYI, tacking “Thank You” on at the end of a personal attack doesn’t disguise what it is.

Here is just one reader’s comment. It is only possible to psychoanalyze actual people— fictional characters are the product of their creators (in this comic universe, Greg Evans) and are not amenable to scrutiny by the amateurs who have never progressed beyond Psychology 101 at a Community College.

Amen. Either she has encyclopedic knowledge crossing all kinds of subjects or takes the time to research on internet and then cite them (she fails to cite her sources, though). It is safe to say she is computer, internet, and research savvy considering that she is an art restorer which involves a lot of research. So I picture her sitting, reading comments on her laptop or desktop, going to internet to do her research, grabs the info or pictures (she occasionally posts pictures), posts them, then continues reading – of which she does a lot, obviously. As an art restorer, she is definitely college educated and she writes like a researcher. One has to wonder what draws her into here with all of us lowly ordinary folks. I am just a college instructor.

Granted some commenters post idiotic messages but not all of us are educated beyond high school, many of us live to survive, have other things to worry about than a comic strip and post comments just for fun…

She goes after the trolls BUT she is another kind of troll, though. Putting others down is a form of bullying. Acting conscending is another form of bullying. I’d like this to stop. I actually prefer the “sockpuppets.” They are harmless. Just contradictory.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt:“I consider it a public duty to answer falsifications with facts. I will not pretend that I find this an unpleasant duty. I am an old campaigner, and I love a good fight.” I think FDR’s statement is a reasonable assessment of mojitobaby’s credo..However, many of us have this credo: “My mind is made up … don’t confuse me with the facts.” – unknown (to me). An interesting web-site is here

@EverybodyThis isn’t a criticism, just an observation by a relative newcomer. I see Mojitobaby as well educated and highly motivated to uphold the integrity of Go-Comics, especially Luann. Sometimes, I mean usually, augmentative if he/she disagrees with you. (I personally have not established gender). Sometimes somewhat verbose. Overall I find his/her posts entertaining and informative, I give him/her 3 stars (out of 4) but hell everybody can’t be perfect like me.

Attention comic strip readers, these things are supposed to be humorous, well sort of, some of the time, but we seem to have a lot of grumpy posters. Maybe we could get some Rorschach ink blots to analyze……and you could debate ‘till the cows come home, and Mojito couldn’t threaten to sue us or make us stand in the corner. And where’s Tiffany when I need her? Doctor told me to take two air head blonds and call him in the morning.
