I would have told Pig to feed the little man in the Kleenex box bits of scrambled egg just to see the reaction of the next person who blows their nose into one of those tissues.

Is it the same guy all the time, or do others come in on a rotation schedule?

Quickly and quietly, Goat! Let’s get away from this. Rat has so taken advantage of Pig’s tiny, basically innocent brain!

Yesterday in sympathy for pig, I skipped bacon. Today, I’m doubling the portion. ? because I wish I had a little man[colloq.euphemism] in the box. . ..

Dukedoug and Fanolio…. I dunno. Whatever gave you the idea that it was Arthur Clarke?I’ve never heard that before….I guess it’s because I never read the comments…..

And then right when I want Rat to show up with a baseball bat to deal with Pig’s overly extreme naivete something like this happens and I have to wish Goat or Zebra would beat the living daylights out of Rat. Only for them (typically Goat as it’s typically Goat in the situation) to ask for the check.

I love Pig. When my girls were younger I would tell them stories with stuffed animals. One of them was DB (Daniel Bunny, but Dumb Bunny to his friends). I would use figurative expressions in the stories and DB would take them as literal. My favorite was when they were in the midst of an adventure and in a cave and one character said were in a pickle now and of course DB corrected him. DB and Pig would have been great friends.

Do not laugh too much, imagining that no one is that stupid. My father was a television repairman back when people repaired televisions. One man had him come to the house to “turn up the light in the back” of the set. He thought there were little people in there, and he was having trouble seeing the ones in the back of the scenes.

Scaaty — it was a joke…. based on yesterday’s “conversation” about the approximately 937 (give or take) almost identical responses to one query. If you ever think there aren’t enough comments in a forum, just ask a question…. especially one you could just as easily have Googled.Someone will sweetly do it for you and post the results….

And then a dozen other kind people will do the same, without bothering to read any of the already piled-up answers first.

Talk about gullible – for years I bought into my father’s cherished belief that to make ice freeze more quickly in the fridge, you needed to put in hot water. (The idea was that the water would cool off more quickly [proportionately] than room-temp water would, and the acceleration of the loss of heat would continue after room-temp was reached.) Only after my engineer husband opined otherwise, did I see the error of my ways.

Why doesn’t Goat just explain how things REALLY work to Pig, instead of allowing Rat the opportunity to mess with poor Pig’s little innocent mind?

I often ask people who have answering machines with a computer generated man greeting if they feed the man in the box…..guess I am not the only one who thinks of these things! Way to go Stephan…this is a great series/strip
