back to the snowmen! a delightful break from arguing religion. and to those on both sides of the debate a word of caution. “never argue with an idiot, people watching may not be able to tell the difference.”

Calvin has put two heads on his snowman so his snowman is different than the other ones. It doesn’t mean much. It’s just Calvin being Calvin.

@LX013: You can decide, wether it is an alien snowman or a siamese twin snowman. I perfer the alien snowman (especially, when I look at the faces…), I think, Spiff build this according to one of the aliens he saw…

My friends and I made the Easter Bunny out of snow at my house once complete with a basket of snoweggs. We were bored with all the other snowpeople in the neighborhood and thought we’d liven things up. We got quite a few comments for our originality that year.

I like the faces on Calvin’s snowman, but I am really curious as to how he got the arms to stay on like that.

My first snowman was a rectangle.

Speaking of houses, you’re going to have to mortgage yours to pay my fee. Hi, I’m Dr Psychobabble and Calvin needs serious help,Luckily, between my assistant Hobbes and lovely nurse Susie, we’ll be able to guide him on his journey to normal boyhood. Should we put him down for 2 or 3 sessions a week?

One year when it snowed and snowed and snowed and we missed so much school we were going to have to go for half the summer to make up the days (I was a teacher), I made a huge fertility figure snowwoman, trying to entice Spring to come to the land. As luck would have it, the preacher came to visit instead, but it was almost dark so I don’t think he saw it. He didn’t have much imagination, though, so he would have probably thought it was just a misshapen snowman.

Come on mom and dad, don’t think it is so easy to be a non-conformist! First of all, you should have the creativity to think differently from others, and then you should have the confidence to be not bothered by others’ rejection. I think Calvin passes both these tests with flying colors.

I may have mentioned this in a past post. One winter we had had so much continuous snow cover, our boys were even getting tired of it.

To signify their feelings, they built an 8 foot tall commode in our front yard (had to use a stepladder). Lid was up of course with some doggy loggies inside for effect plus a snow sculptured roll of toilet paper sitting on the top of the tank. People were stopping and making pictures. Their Mom had a fit!

yyyguy said, “…never argue with an idiot, people watching may not be able to tell the difference.” The following verse agrees with your comment: “Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you also be like unto him.” Proverbs 26:4 However, see also the next verse: “Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.” Proverbs 26:5 One must be wise and discerning enough to know which verse applies in any encounter (with a fool).

Mom and Dad look so peaceful strolling along the neighborhood. I wonder what their life was like as boyfriend/girlfriend or newlyweds. As far as what the snow thing is, whether alien or siamese twin, perhaps it’s two people who were trying to beam up on a faulty transporter like the one in Star trek 1 and they’re “forming”. I’m sure Calvin saw it.

Tis a shame indeed that Calvin’s dad seems to have no appreciation for anything Calvin does. His mom isn’t quite as bad – but dad is an absolute negative dork.
