   That would be quite some math. As I understand it, time stops at the speed of light, so nothing can go faster than light speed.

   It’s real hard to wait 24 hours for the next Calvin and Hobbes cartoon. I have the hard cover complete works of Mr Watterson, but finding this exact strip would take too long. It’s a real exercise in patience. I bet Hobbes is going to go on this trip, probably his last trip through time with Calvin. Mr Watterson was a genius. Am I ever addicted and it’s just 4 cartoon panels. It’s hard to wait 24 hours for the next one.

   I must be showing my age, but dull boring routine is pretty enjoyable. It’s predictable.

   It’s really true. Even a little reality can totally freak out humans. I can understand how Calvin reacted. I’ve been there so many times in my life.

   The battery in my watch died. It can’t be replaced until June 8th because of Covid, so I’m living outside of human time now, between sunrise and sunset. It’s a long day.

   The amazing thing to me, is that I am so much like Calvin. I was always somewhat different than other kids. I’m not really connected to the world, even today as a senior. Four billion years to produce me. Hobbes would say maybe not enough time. First thing I do every day is read Calvin and Hobbes. Then Dilbert, then the Astronomy picture of the day, then CNN, then BBC, then CBC, then the Guardian. By then I’m so depressed I contemplate my own imminent death. Calvin and Hobbes give me hope in a dying world.

   I have a broken nose. It’s barely noticeable. My father had a broken nose. My friend caused that when we were teenagers. He was a surgeon. I asked this doctor once, can you straighten my nose. He just laughed, funniest thing he had heard all day. I hope he rots in hell, orthodox Jew that he was, and I’m not prejudiced per se. I just don’t like people laughing at me.

   Every morning I read Calvin and Hobbes, first, then Dilbert. Then I read the pandemic news. It was sad for me when Mr Waterson ended Calvin’s adventures. My boss/supervisor took it hard too. Calvin and Hobbes is apparently the most loved comic strip in the world. I was surprised when I read that somewhere. It’s pretty esoteric, especially the Sunday strips.

    Technically, Calvin is in the clear, Stupendous Man, not so much.
