I only took a few minutes to try to get the 9 differences today and only got 4!!!! Horrors!!! We’re taking off for the big birthday party, can’t wait to see the little guy make a mess with his very own birthday cake (his first taste of SUGAR!)

    Good Sunny morning, Vagabonds,

Gorgeous and only gets up to 70 here. Lovely!

We had another “party” last night. This time it was at a great Mexican restaurant overlooking the runway at Montgomery Field. We enjoyed police and fire dept. helicopters, and small aircraft coming and going while we enjoyed each other and great food (and my Strawberry Marguerita!) Little Chase was given a Sombrero and a huge plate of ice cream, and was serenaded by the wait staff. Such fun!

Today is the big family party. Our Palmdale family will be there today, so that’s a plus, and we’ll FaceTime the North Carolina family during the day, so we’ll be complete.

I thought for sure that Cleo was going to reach up and bite that rope herself! I don’t think she likes Timmy in the well, either.

    LOVE the sarcastic humor alert!

I guess kangaroos don’t own the market on kick boxing.

    Good San Diego morning, Vagabonds,

So good to be back at our “home hotel”! We have our favorite room, the staff is awesome, and we just had the house specialty for breakfast……Huevos Rancheros. It’s made with a crispy tortilla, beans, eggs, awesome chorizo, and topped with Mexican cheese, avacado and tomatoes. Mmmmmm!

Oh yeah…..the family was great, too! We had an UnBirthday party last night with the kids. Through the wonders of FaceTime, our two “older” grandkids really know who we are. (1 1/2 and 3 1/2). However, the birthday boy still was a little shy with us yet. Maybe today he’ll be cool with these two white-haired folks.

Well, we’re off for the day’s adventure. Since we’re here for such a short time, we’ll pass up the touristy sights and concentrate on playing with the kids (trucks and horses are the favorites)

    xoxo Happy Trails.
