Life would be long dead and gone on Earth by the time the Sun finally does perish, as it would have expanded to a point where it would incinerate the planet.
Ha. Sun ain’t exploding. For it never go to supernova stage. Star gotta be more massive for that. Sun only expand as red giant and then fades away as white dwarf.
Humans have a very high opinion of themselves given that they have been on the Earth for such a short time in comparison to other species that have dominated it, and that isn’t even talking about how short the period of time they have been “waging war” is. A few million-year-old species talking about what will end war in billions of years from now. One that if it doesn’t destroy itself, is still subject to evolution and will even increase the speed of that becoming more and more of a cyborg. It is almost unconceivable that humans will be anything like we are today in a few billion years, if you can even call them humans at that time.
If humans even exist at that point, I would hope they would have the foresight to actually get off of Earth before it happens! And if that is the case then maybe end of war won’t happen either.
The sun exploding might end war for humans on Earth, if there are any left, but it’s arrogant to assume that “war” doesn’t exist elsewhere in the Universe.
“It is well that war is so terrible, lest we grow fond of it.” Robert E. Lee.
I wonder that in this age of drones and smart bombs and the killing by remote control that they allow if war has lost its terror.
Politicians start wars and expect soldiers to finish them. Those who call the shots are not the ones who get shot at. For the politicians, there is no terror.
Actually, if you keep up on such astronomical events such as a Gamma Ray Burst, life on earth could be snuffed out in an instant. You don’t even know before it strikes.
Gent got it right, but first it will incinerate the planets through Mars. Ergo, same difference, except earth will be post nuclear holocaust and just a barren plain blue dot. Have a nice day.

The sun is constantly exploding. That is how we get light and energy for the earth.

Not even close. The entire universe runs on the inherent difference in energy density. Wars will end when the universe does.

Someone will always envy what someone else possesses. That never changes, whether among individuals or nations. Aggression, the outlet for fear.

Where I live the sun will go out for a few minutes on April 8th at 3:15 PM. I hope it isn’t going to be one of our usually rainy April days.
