Really, it’s probably the most sensible thing to do. Climate calamity is well underway and hard upon us, and there isn’t going to be any fixing it, at least not at the rate things are going.

Knowing the FACT that “sensationalism sells”, and that the MEDIA is NOT adverse to fabrication and sensationalist ‘reporting’ in order to increase its audience, which in turn attracts advertisers, which increases the bottom line, the MEDIA have become ‘experts’ in promoting the gloBULL warming hoax.

I keep hearing about this “mainstream media” that apparently spews nothing but sensationalized lies. Who exactly are they? And, more importantly, who are the NON-mainstream media we SHOULD trust? Or, is there never any source of news to ever be trusted. In which case, is there ever a trusted means by which we can communicate information? Or have we devolved to the point where facts don’t exist, and my reality is only what I want it to be?

I don’t watch the news because if you turn it on, all you get is…"Gloom, despair, and agony on me,

    Deep, dark depression, excessive misery.

If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all.

Gloom, despair, and agony on me"—Hee-Haw

I live in Florida and I dread the hurricane season. Didn’t used to, but climate change is real. The storms are bigger wetter and stronger. I get anxiety when one is brewing. This year La Niña could make it particularly bad. I’d move if I could, but at almost 64 with little money I am stuck

It’s remarkable how things have changed since 1959, when “The Merry Minuet” was written:

    They’re rioting in Africa

    They’re starving in Spain

    There’s hurricanes in Florida

    And Texas needs rain…

Starting to think reporters have been told to interview people who say: “We are _________________(fill in the blank) strong here, we all stick together and help each other. We’ll rebuild it all.” Filtering out the, “What the he!! everything’s gone, climate has gone nuts.” complainers.

    1) Weather isn’t climate. 2) this planet has had drought, fire, flood, storms, and heat since forever. One needs an actual analysis to know truth. Meanwhile we think driving 500 hp EVs will fix the climate.

The amount of denial here of the ongoing suffering to planet and people do to worsening human caused climate change is almost unbelievable. I don’t know what else to say. After everything some people here have said in response, which seems to have no effect, I despair. And tho it may not be their motivation, it’s funny, because if you believe it’s just ‘nature,’ then you don’t have to consider giving up anything in OUR – mine too – gluttonous consumerist lifestyles. Like my ‘liberal’ friends who drive and fly all over the place. Hardly anyone wants to restrain themselves in any way, even most of the people who call themselves ‘environmentalists.’ Main ocean currents on verge of collapsing, historic fires in Texas, not enough snow to ski in Switzerland, climate refugees everywhere…No concern. It’s the liberals. It’s nature. It’s the media. It’s the unfulfilled previous predictions of doom. It’s everything about ourselves.Don’t look up.Vote for the orange man.Drill baby drill.Effin suicide.
