    I have to say that they are right. Orville does seem a lot like the older Star Treks. The background music is spot on, and the basic plots are very similar. Basically it is oldstyle Star Trek with comedy bits thrown it. However, it really isn’t a comedy like Galaxy Quest as I had originally thought. Already three episodes in they covered changing a baby’s sex because “she” wouldn’t fit in with her society. That is serious and it was handled very well. One episode of Star Trek Discovery is not enough to get me hooked and I will be damned if I’m going to pay extra money to watch any more episodes. The show will fail on this reason alone. Please note that I have been a proud Trekkie from the very beginning with Kirk and the crew.
