and why isn’t Miss Princess making her own lunch?

Elly, how is it after all these years, you don’t know your daughter doesn’t like hard-boiled eggs?

I like her mother, she knows what her daughter needs!

What else was in that lunch besides an apple and an egg? If nothing, which appears to be the case, that’s a passive-aggressive way to tell Elizabeth to make her own lunches.

Elizabeth asked if the egg could be in a sandwich. She got the egg in a sandwich.

You asked for it… you got it… (Toyota!)

Fine, give her some lunch money, since you hate making her lunch so much.

HA HA!

I would have just taken the egg and a Bologna and Cheese sandwich.

My mom went back to work when I was 10—thereafter I either ate in the cafeteria, made my own lunch, or did without. Elizabeth is rapidly approaching adulthood and doesn’t seem to be in any way prepared for it.

Ugh!! I hate hard-boiled eggs!! The only way I like eggs is scrambled or in an omelette.

Best way to eat a hard-boiled egg… cut it in half, and on each half you put a glob of mayo, I’m talking the real stuff, with a sprinkling of salt and pepper…. Heaven!

A boiled egg has to have salt and pepper and most lunchroom tables don’t have these. You’d have to pack them for her if that egg is going to be worth eating.

You don’t think I’ve got it made. Growing up I didn’t like mayonnaise so my Mom always left my hard boiled egg whole with the deviled eggs. My dear wife picked up on the habit and has always had my egg . Then just yesterday my darling daughter was discussing the menu for Thanksgiving at her house and in the end she looked at me and said ‘oh yeah Dad I will have your hardboiled egg’. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

And when you get home , A lesson on doing your own Laundry !

Would it have been that hard for either one of them to turn a hard-boiled egg into an egg salad sandwich? a little mayo, some green onions, salt and pepper to taste et voila. For that matter, what kind of lunch is just one hard-boiled egg?

Just a curious observation. Why in panel 3 is the had-boiled egg giving off some kind of radiation like waves of light?

It couldn’t mean that the egg is still boiling HOT since the mother and daughter can handle it with their bare hands!

Was the egg radio-active? And would that be a healthy lunch for a growing girl?

Don’t mess with a mom…..

Elly’s “care package” gave Michael the runs.

A funny strip could be where Michael takes a lot of tanning pills and wears an afro wig to get a scholarship for black students. Money problems solved.

Sensing favoritism here. Michael gets mom to send money when he asks no problem but Elizabeth gets a bogus sandwich when she makes a request. Typical middle child discrimination, lol.

Four days ago, her sweater was orange. Now, it is pink.

I think Elle is getting a bit tired of her demaning kids… First April and a new puppy, Mike wanting more money, and now Liz wanting a Mom to make a custom lunch for her. Panel 4 is great…

Fourth panel: now THAT’S funny!

I hard-boiled a dozen eggs a week ago to make deviled eggs for a pot-luck. Then I forgot to make them or go to the pot-luck. So we’re eating hard-boiled eggs quite a bit right now.

I like hard-boiled eggs. But, I don’t care for egg-salad sandwiches.

Without the salt, forget it

You don’t have to make an egg salad sandwich to turn a hard boiled egg into a sandwich. I used to slice the hard boiled egg and put it into a buttered English muffin. Now, I’m limited in the number of eggs I can eat each day, so I just have them scrambled in the morning.

Who knew that Elly is a genie? :-)
