It takes one small detail to make a big deal.

There is nothing wrong with pineapple on pizza.

Pineapple belongs on nothing (IMHO).

One of my earliest memories is my aunt ordering pizza with pineapple on it.

I like pineapple and ham on my pizza but my sister prefers the one with all the meats. Arlene and I can split a pizza and my sister can try to share with Garfield as you know he won’t share.

Why is Garfield being so picky all of a sudden? If it was a supreme pizza, I could understand him reacting that way. I’ve never tried tofu, but I wouldn’t put it past him to have a fit over tofu pizza either.

A lot of times it comes in handy for a couple to have such different preferences. Example: my guy and I order salads at a restaurant, the 1st thing we do is i take any chile peppers, croutons, meat and cheese and move them to his salad and he takes any tomatoes, eggs, seeds, mushrooms and “weird” things like endive and moves them to mine!

However we’ve long since decided it’s easiest to just get our own pizzas because he likes all the meats and I like all the vegetables lol

Order a half an half. Your toppings on one half, her toppings on the other half……….

When I was growing up there was a Hawaiian lady up the stairs that put pineapple on EVERYTHING – so the smell of cooked pineapple went EVERYWHERE in the building. . .

Sure, different strokes for different folks – but the smell of cooked pineapple still turns my stomach.

Pineapple is totally yumskilicious! On pizza with ham, mixed into cottage cheese, or just straight on my breakfast plate, it is delicioso! (Good sweet ones coming out of Ecuador right now, but let them ripen until you can whiff the fragrance coming from the base.)

Plus you get ham [or spam!]

Garfield what have you got against Hawaiian pizza? My favorite is ham and pineapple.

I pretty much love all pizza, it is pizza after all. Anchovies and black olives is my favorite.

People saying that fruit does not belong on pizza are insane. fruit that is already on pizza:-Bell pepper-Tomato-Olives-Chillies-Cheese

Each individual has his or her own preference. Just split a large pizza with half pepperoni and half pineapple.

Who knew that Garfield actually had some standards when it comes to food?

When I was about 5 my mother made ham with pineapples on it. Halfway through dinner I had to run to the bathroom to throw up. I’ve never had pineapple on anything since. The thought of pineapple is disgusting to me.

Jon really should have thought of ordering a pizza that’s half meat and half onions, peppers, and pineapple so that Garfield won’t eat the entire thing. In the case of the latter, I don’t like any of those toppings on my pizza either, preferring pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and olives.

There is nothing wrong with pineapple on pizza. It is Italian snobbery to complain about that, because it is not ‘traditional’. If you like it, why should you not be allowed to eat it?

My Russian Blue cat Ashley loves Pineapple, I was surprised when I gave a very small piece of a meat lovers Pizza and he devoured the small Pineapple chunks on it

I couldn’t believe a cat would like such things, so I gave him another 2 pieces of plain Pineapple with nothing else on it and he devoured it eagerly.

I have heard tales of some cats enjoying Bananas. I tried giving Ashley a small piece of Banana, but he turned up his nose at that and walked away.

Oh the vagaries of being a cat owner……., just when you think you know them well they surprise you yet again!.

They way I look at it is – if I don’t put pineapple on my pizza, it means there is more pineapple for those who do! And then we are all happy.

Don’t know it until you’ve tried it! I used to think pineapple was awful. But it turned out that “canned” pineapple was awful and that fresh pineapple, and later, pineapple on pizza is awesome!!!

I like pineapple on my pizza, as long as there isn’t any other meats on it.

Love pineapple on pizza. Worked with a member of the SDA church for a few years. He did not eat meat but was fine with cheese. Many Mondays we would split a “fruit and fungus” a pineapple and mushroom on whole wheat crust. When I order now I go for pineapple and Canadian Bacon.

I don’t like pineapple in general, so I’m obviously not going to put it on pizza, but I don’t get why people make such a huge deal about the “pineapple on pizza” thing. If you like that kind of stuff, then all the power to you - people should make such a huge deal about it.

I never thought it belonged on pizza. It was a total no-no, non-starter, bad, blah —— until one day, many moons ago, when a customer at a pizza shop I was working at was a no show. Why did it have to be pineapple and ham?! Yuck! It was quite delicious.

So Garfield has limits other than hating raisins.
