Replace “school board” with “voting officials”, “prize money” with “presidency”, and “Susie” with “Biden”
And you’ll have something similar to what an ex-president wanted when he lost the election. And shows that he acts like a six year old when he doesn’t get what he wants
This would be a very bad time for Calvin to watch an old movie called “The Bad Seed.” A little girl doesn’t like losing the penmanship pin to a boy in her class. Her mother tells her just what Calvin’s father tells him but the little girl had another way to settle the issue. We wouldn’t want to give Calvin any ideas.
Dad’s closing comment reflects a situation that just developed in Henrico County, VA when the owner of Sneak Foot athletic shoes fell under federal investigation for fraud. Evidently Cal is not the only person to trust the wrong ads.
I’ve been waiting for this arc to end for this comment. If you wonder why Calvin’s father was working on him to build character, it was for things like this. Whatever Dad went through growing up, he learned what was important and that is something he knows Calvin must learn too, even if Dad can come off thick-headed or worse, to Calvin anyway. And that ending bin not against the athletic apparel industry was great, too. They have long been more about selling ‘attitude’ among other things over actual products.
It is astonishing how much Calvin sounds like that one-term president we just survived, so childish, such a poor sport, but that’s probably going too far—an insult to Calvin.
I WISH EVERYONE WOULD STOP MAKING NO POLITCAL COMICS POLITICAL AND TURN A NICE CONVERSION INTO ARGUMENTS, GO TO THE POLITCAL COMICS FOR THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like how Calvin’s dad gets down to his son’s level to explain this to him. That’s a good parent.

It’s not athletic shoe ads that have been filling Calvin’s mind with conspiracy theories, it’s FOX News coverage of Dominion Voting Machines.

Also, if Calvin did win the contest, I’m sure the Dad would still tell him “Winning isn’t everything.”
