Well, on the bright side, she’s forgotten about the curtains.

Whaa…?! Puck went full-on Mom-Cat on Ora Zella! (And he’s a boy!) Before I got to the last panel (and lost my mind over this), I was already in full fall-out-of-bed love with Elvis’s paw in the face.

Other little cats play with crinkle balls or squeaky toys. Ora Zella prefers jackhammers and C4.

Lupin looks a little … envious in panel one.

OZ on catnip would be terrifying. The BPH would not be safe.

Kittens can be such a handful, err, I mean pawful.

My two leave the curtains alone since I switched from floor length to window length. Overall, they are good cat-children and great company.

There will be no jumping off bridges in this strip no burning them either!

Never has the term, Kittens Are Exhausting, been more appropriate.

Ora Zella and Iggy might need a good swat. Cats don’t worry about traumatizing kittens by the use of corporal punishment.

Are we going to play “What does the next panel show?” I like that game. Let’s see. I see Puck depositing OZ into a sunbeam and she instantly falls asleep, forgetting about jumping off cliffs, burning bridges and slaying days.

I really hope there’s a toy bridge somewhere in the house to satiate Ora Zella’s urges safely. More solid advice from Dad Cat in the last panel!

That little girl is just too much fun.

The drapes in my living room still bear the tiny pinprick holes made by Jasper’s kitten claws from where he would chase the shadows of birds flying in for a landing on the gabled roof of the front porch. I can’t bring myself to replace them because they remind me of the mischievous kitten I brought home on October 5, 1998. We had almost 18 years together before cancer took him away from me.

Chaos Incarnate…

Not the first male I’ve seen doing that. But Puck is the first male cat I’ve seen trying to carrry a kitten by the scruff. Spotty got into big trouble doing that to a kitten. Of course he’d been raised by cats and us and thought at the time he was a cat and not a dog.

I’ve said it before, Spotty knew which cats belonged to him and which weren’t a part of his family and he’d chase those that weren’t supposed to be in his yard away while being as gentle as possible with those who were his family. But that was after he accidentally killed a kitten by trying to be a momma cat.
