One of my favorite rips is “buy one get one free” turned into “buy two and get half price”

The first test begins with whether you choose to buy one or two tests.

Good thing I got back from vacation when I did, I think my computer (Ol’ Rusty) was siding with Siri and Alexa to take over the neighborhood!

Reality: In (pre-pandemic) Sweden, in at least one store I found that 100 g Toblerone bars were 15 kronor each, but a 360 g bar was 80 kronor. (C’mon, you can do the math.)

reminds me of working in the supermarket back in my high school days of the late 60’s. we had some unmoving product in cans marked a dime so the manager told us boys that he’d show us how to get rid of them. he had us use lysol to remove the stamped ink 10 cent marks, place them in a shopping cart near the registers, and he made a store special sign 2/25cents and taped it on the cart. stuff was gone in a couple hours!

One of the reasons I quit shopping at 99cents only was them stocking things over one dollar. Dollar Tree has just started that too. Theirs seems better than 99cents Only because they make it a whole section and not mixing them with the normal price items.

Somethun ain’t right about this, no self-respecting jock would voluntarily take a math quiz, much less pay for one.

I once saw a sign in a shoe store window as I was passing by, “One for $7, two for $15!”

I didn’t dare try to find out whether that was one shoe or one pair.

True story.. D.Q. recently had a promotion for their new 1/3 lb burger. It failed, because people thought it was smaller than McD’s 1/4 lb burger.
