Has anyone ever tried putting a snowman on a sled in real life?

It sounds like Calvin really wants to go. It sounds like Hobbes really does not want to go.

I’m mildly surprised the snowman is smiling. I’d expect Calvin to build him with a scared expression on his face.

    I have two sons.

Son #1 is the type, “I wonder what would happen if I do X.”

Son #2 is the type, “I think I’ll do X and see what happens.” This one turned out to be the engineer. Scary!

Now they have to walk down the hill and drag the sled back up. Assuming it can still be used.

Steering and toboggans don’t usually go together.

Good for you Calvin. Eichmann told same thing about extermination of the Jews. Approximately.

In the late 40s our sledding hill was a road with very little traffic. However, the streetcar line crossed the road at the bottom of the hill. Fortunately trolleys had a lot clearance to the ground. I remember one kid going down the hill just as the trolley was crossing and he went under it. His guardian angel earned its pay!

A nasty tree jumped in front of the poor snowman. Careful Calvin; it could happen to you.

Sometimes Calvin’s behavior is, well, ‘worrisome’…but I like to think his true spirit is evinced in that snowman’s smile, at the top of the hill…

Why I always preferred Radio Flyers. They steer a little better than toboggans.

Whatever happens to the dummy, I would looove to steer on that sledge downhill. In the eastern part of the world you miss seeing this type of terrain covered with snow.
