One can take great comfort in choosing something not to know. Relieves the mind from the negative image posited in the oft heard statement: I should know that.
The first step in becoming wise, is to know that no matter how much you DO know, you will never know all there is to know and you are content to know you will never know everything there is to know…Happy July first, with a plethora of word plays on the word “know”!
Do people really use stemware to drink wine for outdoor picnics? I’d think that something sturdier (and probably plastic) would be more appropriate. Then again, I’m something of a cultural philistine.

If Frazz knows Fermat’s Last Theorem, I doubt that, he doesn’t understand what it means, because it’s pretty easy.
What it basically means is: „Pythagoras’ Theorem doesn’t work with natural numbers in dimensions higher than 2“.
So, in principle, it’s even a bit disappointing….
Its proof, on the other hand, I am told, and, i’m sure, Frazz would certainly agree on, is definitely not a piece of cake….
Recently, FLT has been proven by the British mathematician Andrew Wiles.

I know that I don’t know what I don’t know. That’s at least something. In some cases ignorace is bliss.

Fermat’s Last Theorem is pretty easy to understand, it was just really hard to prove. But I thought they did that a while ago.

Under the stars with your girlfriend and a bottle of wine, it makes sense that the topic of conversation is Fermat’s Last Theorem.

What I dislike is willful ignorance. How many people refuse to believe facts because it doesn’t fit in their “truth”.
