    This situation reminds me of my youth when we’d sit on a neighbour’s driveway wall and watch one other family have their weekly public fight. It was funny but sad and disgusting too.

    At this point, their little dust-up seems like a knife-fight in a homeless camp. Hope they both lose.

    It up to the integrity of congress to make the decision about the suitability of the president. Too bad the opinions of 70% of the electorate are masked out by house rules. Too bad that the elections are so close that gerrymandering and registration purging must be applied get the “right” people into congress. Too bad even this feud with Bannon will not cause anyone to take positive action. Have we lost our self-respect?

    These two didn’t lose anything, they have always been morons. It is the GOP who has lost their mind, and allowed these people to take over their party.

    [This is the first of my too-many {4} rhymes are this toon:]

    LOVERS’ BETRAYALS – {2 verses and footnotes}

    Don’t we find it quite curious

    that lovers can get so furious, -

    - so furious that

    in public they spat,

    toward each other injurious.

    Even when Steve and Donald are lovers,

    a cloud of betrayal ominously hovers: -

    - They maneuver with tactics quite deviously spurious*

    to “do ‘em MY way”, our schemes quite usurious**.

    … Footnotes:

    “spurious" – intended to deceive, plausible but false

    •• “usurious" – greatly exceeding bounds of reason or moderation

    EACH WOULD BURN ROME – {rhyme}

    Regarding Brump and Tannon

    {Oops – re Trump and Bannon}:

    √ Each thinks himself a hero

    and the other a big fat zero.

    √ Each would burn Rome like a Nero.

    √ Each should be handcuffed and hushed

    and drawn-and-quartered and flushed.

    PROGRESSIVES HAVE REVELED – {1.20 limericks}

    Even more he’s now disheveled,

    now that by Trump he’s bedeviled.

    But Trump too’s a mess

    from Bannon-caused stress.

    My, how Progressives have reveled

    while mutual accusations they’ve leveled.

    {Here’s the last of my too-many re this ’toon;}

    BURNED BY BANNON – {1.60 limericks}

    The erstwhile biggie Steve Bannon

    flounders as now a loose cannon.

    Not now in demand,

    by backers quite canned, -

    - yet fires he continues a-fannin’.

    Can The Donald withstand

    the heat ampersand

    the fury of Steve-the-Firebrand?

    What made the Emperor Nero tick, Suetonius writes in “Lives of the Caesars,” was “a longing for immortality and undying fame, though it was ill-regulated.” Many Romans were convinced that Nero was mentally unbalanced …

    Chaotic, corrupt, incurious, infantile, grandiose, and obsessed with gaudy real estate, Donald Trump is of a Neronic temperament. He has always craved attention. Now the whole world is his audience.
