Science is severely limited by the small window of time in which people allow science to flourish before deciding that they know enough and don’t believe science can learn any more, having reached its full development. One you know everything, you don’t have to keep questioning your present conclusions.
Recently read (among other things) “The Disappearing Spoon: And Other True Tales of Madness, Love, and the History of the World from the Periodic Table of the Elements”, by science reporter Sam Kean. (Kean’s other books were among those recent other things…..) Which leads me to my point: until Science can explain the nearly infinite number of differences between the worlds of “The Jetsons” and “Futurama”, I refuse to have any trust in it!
