Nice try yourself, Andy, you’re just annoyed you don’t have the house to yourself for a few hours today.

If she’s anything like my Mom, she’ll put them to work moving furniture and cleaning the house. Made us happy when school was back on the next day.

Back when I was in high school, I had two straight weeks of snow days. It was called the Blizzard of ’77.

Hey, I wouldn’t have changed my tune just for my mom! When school was cancelled, I was always thrilled and I made sure she knew it! Besides, she said she even would kind of enjoy the day off with me and my brother. Despite the nasty weather, we’d still go to lunch. That was something we always enjoyed.

Blizzard of ‘67 in Rochester NY closed EVERYTHING for three days, including Kodak, which never closed. It was the only snowstorm my Dad ever enjoyed, because he didn’t have to drive anywhere in it. And for us kids, the snow was over our heads, which made it the greatest winter ever!

Snow has never been a factor in Houston. However ice can and very dangerous too. Some people have forgotten they make up that time in the Summer.

Our school’s was out today due to very low freezing temps. Yesterday they honored Martin Luther Day, with snow/ice and slide offs.
