Third day!
who’s on first
I don’t know; well, he’s on third!
They’re no Abbott & Costello.
As I recall, Today and Tomorrow were the team’s pitcher and catcher, respectively.
“Why.”
“I dunno, I just thought I’d ask you.”
“And I just thought I’d TELL you!”
Still my favorite comedy bit of all time
There is also the “U-drive” routine. Abbot & Costello had several routines based on misunderstanding homonyms.
“I don’t give a darn!”
“Oh, that’s our shortstop!”
“Arrrgh!”
Peter: Everything that happens now, is happening now.
B.C.: What happened to then?
Peter: We passed then.
B.C.: When?
Peter: Just now. We’re at now now.
B.C.: Go back to then.
Peter: When?
B.C.: Now.
Peter: Now?
Peter: I can’t.
B.C.: Why?
Peter: We missed it.
Peter: Just now.
B.C.: When will then be now?
Peter: Soon.
B.C.: How soon?
