Damage done. Dottie had better open her eyes and rethink her priorities, for in taking the stance that she did hasn’t only cost her her job, but her friendship with Walter.

Well, Walt’s only doing what he has to do too. Actions always have consequences, and even if they are the right actions there is no guarantee of a happy ending

“I’m only doing what I have to do…”= the common excuse of the fanatics. Just question WHY you have to do it in the first place, everyone’s opinions are biased one way or another.

This looks like the end of a beautiful friendship, Dottie.

Oh, I think Walt understands what Dottie’s doing, far better than she does apparently…

I’m a bit surprised that Dottie approached Walt and attempted to justify her actions. I’m glad Walt walked away without answering her. Silence was more eloquent than words in this instance.

Calling it now; Dottie heads back to her little fanzine office only to find she’s on the outs with them for not being a better witness. Her assistant editor was a schemer and a half and demote her to coffee girl.

Dottie may want to go out the front door. She may be the only person who can…

Dottie better think long and hard before she and any of her “staff” tries to “interview” Heather…

She’s fallen for the real conspiracy, totally distracted by some frivolous discrimination case seeded by a party seeking to destabilize Endtown’s government. Actually now that I think about it this was the theme of the “Milk trial” too. President Bunnyface took advantage of the council’s anonymity to set up a strawman of corruption, in order to get the citizens to abandon it and elect him (who would otherwise be seen as a crackpot racist) president. But now that HE’S in charge someone else is using the inherent racism he likely inspired (identify yourself as your animal type instead of as the person you actually are) to knock HIM out of power and take control for themselves. There’s probably going to be a race riot pretty soon.

Do you guys think the truth will ever come out regarding what really happened with Heather? Or will the plot within the plot also be ever discovered? This is a really sad story line…engaging….yes, but sad nevertheless.

If you’re going to be a revolutionary, you have to be prepared to suffer loss. Including your life, if necessary. Otherwise, you’re just a parlor pink. Thankfully, a couple centuries ago, some people decided to risk “our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor”.

You learn a lot about your friends in a conflict. And, if you’re lucky, you make new friends to replace the ones you give up.

I was getting a sense as the trial went on that Dottie was beginning to figure out that she’d f——d up royally, and I have even more of that vibe after today. It’ll be interesting to see how she approaches things from now on.

I’ve said it before (as have Jenner and many others), but we are really getting a window into a master at work with this strip. The slower pacing can get frustrating, but isn’t it better to savor a five-course dinner by a gourmet chef than gulp down a Happy Meal at McD’s?

I can’t remember – in all of this, has anyone ever just sat down with Heather and allowed her to tell in her own time and her own words, just what did happen? You know, I mean, the truth? All we’ve had is police interrogation. legal representation and a court case.
