Haven’t heard the Republican run federal government say a word about the California fires. I guess since they vote blue Californians don’t count, just like Puerto Rico.
The US is not doing as much as other countries and with removal of safeguards environmental quality will erode. The world is overpopulated and resources are being depleted faster than they are being replaced. Clean water (e.g.) will soon become an issue.
Many of the wildfires in the west result in part from environmental regulations that prohibit landowners from clearing out old undergrowth.
This policy, combined with 100 years of fighting every wildfire (instead of allowing natural burns) results in large amounts of highly flammable brush. Areas that would normally burn every 5-15 years end up with 40-80 years worth of undergrowth.
Let nature take its course and the size and number of wildfires will eventually reduce to normal levels.
Sullivan deletes his/her posts regularly. Which also means that, the replies that people have made to those posts vanish. So do not reply directly to him (or trolls in general)!
Use an @Sully: or some such to make replies. I’m sure he gets some jollies from deleting many peoples comments along with his own.
Thankfully the ‘deep state’ is working well despite the silliness in the top offices. FEMA has already arrived here in Santa Rosa and moving ahead with the task of helping the residents who’ve lost everything.

All environmental regulations are up to be shot down, along with the agency.

THEY NEED ADMONISHING – {rhyme}
It is astonishing!!
So many applaud in support
of whatever the Rightists purport!!
They need admonishing: -
- Wisdom doesn’t comport
with notions which fall so short
of facing problems sanely,
by serving the Plutocrats mainly.

Pruitt is a corporate shill who does not care at all about the environment.
He is the one that authorized the Oklahoma fracking that caused the earthquakes.
If you are tired of callous and uncaring Republicans, stop voting for them.
