I once had a “holy” shoe. I had always wondered why my sock and foot kept getting wet when I stepped in puddles.

I looked to the sky where an elephant’s eye was looking at me from a bubblegum tree, and all that I knew the hole in my shoe was letting in water (letting in water)

I don’t think I’ve even worn a hole in a shoe, what happens is the sole cracks across the ball of the foot. So, water can leak in, but unless I flex the shoe, I can’t see where.

I hate to throw away comfortable old boots or shoes. Thankfully, there’s plenty of good ( and cheap ) shoemakers where I live, so I have managed to keep my footwear for years and years. It’s a lot cheaper to replace the soles and heels or restitch a boot than buy a new pair and break ’em in.

I have bad luck with shoes. Even though they ARE my size, I still get blisters.

That’s why I’m not so crazy about shoes like most women are.
