These days, Trojan Horses practically come off an assembly line.
An old “Punch” cartoon: Odysseus is inside the wooden horse with a group of obviously nervous troops. He gives them a pep talk: “For some of you younger men, this might be the first time you’ve been inside a horse …”
You have to give Congress credit for the names of the their bills which seem to be a facade for the contents, which all too often, do the opposite of that name.
Losing the element of surprise? Doubt it. No surprise that the Party of the 1% is going to soak the middle class and give the proceeds to the upper class. That’s their mission in life.
I notice an ad running on MSNBC of all places telling us to call our congresspeople to demand “tax reform” to help create jobs for Americans! Basically, most democrats understand that reducing tax rates for business and the wealthy has minimal impact on job creation – it’s a variation of Cowboy Ronnie’s “trickle-down” economics which no less a republican ‘light’ than George Hubert Walker Bush branded as “voodoo” economics when Ronnie proposed it – and it has never been shown to do anything more than line the pockets of the rich and buy another private jet for the CEOs of the business world! REAL tax reform would simplify the tax system by eliminating corporate loopholes which the Republican Tax Reform plan most emphatically DOES NOT DO!
This is not unexpected, not a surprising characteristic of a Republican bill. They rely on the element of surprise because they could not pass this on it’s merits. But it is never a surprise.

Given the gang in Congress I think this one will be another cluster___k, if not in getting something accomplished, probably in the possible results.

in wielding their axes
‘gainst corporate taxes.

Eight families own 50% of everything in the United States.
You have to tax the people with the money because everyone else is broke.

The Republican plan was, all along, for wealth care, no matter how they misspelled it.

For the GOP no matter what they call it, all bills are fashioned around how to give more tax cuts to the 1%. I agree with this cartoon 100%.

They’ll slip in Tax cuts for the rich one way or another – it is the only thing the GOP can truly agree on.
