    There are a lot of nuts out there…

    some dangerous splinter groups….

    but no one roots them out.

    The AuthoriTrees just gather clues and phylum away…

    while we pine for the fallen.

     

    And then there’s the possibility of robbery…

    What was dug up on that?

    I mean, did anybody even count his rings?

    True fact – walnut trees emit a chemical called juglone that acts as a natural herbicide to prevent other plants from growing underneath them and taking some of the water and fertilizer. There are whole gardening articles dedicated to “what you can grow in the juglone zone”. So yes, it probably was the walnut tree!
