Actually being an amateur asronomer I can name most of the moons. And quite frankly some are more interesting than the planet they orbit.

“Blue moon, you saw me standing alone…”

But everyone calls you THE moon!

Isn’t Dahlgren one of the moons of Saturn?

Looks yellow to me…

If you were a planet, people would resent having to learn your name but as The Moon, everyone knows you and looks up to you. (Hee, hee!)

Moon is your name, we just call the others moons because they’re like you.
