The delusion is the writer of this strip. How is America great, with nearly 100 million people out of work? Trump has only been president about a month, the destruction you people see, was caused by 8 years of dimocrats running roughshod over it.

It’s amazing how most people have forgotten Three Mile Island, flaming rivers from noxious dumping, dead fish washing up on the shores of the Great Lakes, Chesapeake Bay being fouled, the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, the Exxon mess on the west coast. They’re probably right: what’s most important is what the kardashians are wearing and whether ivanka’s line is being sold in . . . wherever. ..

Obviously, Wiley is hoping to have a hand in PREVENTING bad things from happening! As for Pruitt, does he know anything about science? No. Does he want to learn anything about science? No. Even if he wanted to learn about science, is he capable of learning about science? No.

I’m done with Wiley, sort of like I’m done with Starbucks and my local newspaper. I read the comics to get away from politics. I have read this strip for years and have for the most part enjoyed his work. He has chosen his side of the divide and its time for those on the other side to spend their time elsewhere. No one on either side of the divide in 1850 expected what happened just 10 years later. America was safe then to expend 620,000 lives arriving at an outcome. We no longer have two oceans and two borders protecting us so who knows how this one will turn out. Over and Out.

Not get your way? No prob, revolt and take the votes from the Mr. T electorate, blame it on the Ruskies, and insist on your idea of greatness to prevail and take over everything. Which wins first, global climate change or national collapse from stupidity that guarantees global climate change continues?

I read the comics to get away from the stresses of the real world. I purposely avoid the political comics due to their decidedly one sided view of current events (either far left or far right). I really don’t like that Wiley is taking this road…Please leave politics out of your otherwise brilliant humor.

I don’t mind the political commentary when it’s funny and let’s face it – when compared to “real” people, politicians do a lot of funny things.

    .

Humor is normally based on suddenly derailing of the train of logic – you don’t see the joke coming until it hits you like the clichéd pie-in-the-face. This one was very predictable. Maybe the exact dialog couldn’t be guessed, but I don’t think there was a reader here who didn’t see a “Dump on Trump” coming. It’s just that this one fell flat – it doesn’t have the socially redeeming “ha-ha.”

    .

Don’t get me wrong – I really dislike the guy and I hate to admit as a Christian, that I take delight seeing him wipe egg off his face or watch as his staff sweat, stammer and wiggle to apologize on his behalf and attempt damage control efforts on par with trying to save the Titanic. It’s far more entertaining than reality TV.

I’m enjoying the adverbs used in the ‘continuation’ lines. As far as the political aura, it’s almost always been used in this strip. It’s healthy to poke fun at the so-called mighty (unless you live in Russia or Red China!)

Uh, Yeah – it’s great. 20 trillion in debt with nothing to show for it, an anemic market, racial polarization, magic wands needed to get jobs, a new normal, spying on Americans, weaponizing government against citizens. Wow – I knew cartoonists drew fantasies; I didn’t know they lived in them.
