How power-hungry does one have to be to run as Drumpf’s Veep?

He was surprised that Kaine mentioned Trump’s insults. He said what insults? So he doesn’t think calling women fat pigs is an insult either!

He felt it wiser to lose this year on a national ballot rather than the state ballot. Gives him some cover.

If you’ve followed Pence’s career over the years you will realize that he’s as smooth and slippery as an eel. He could tell you to go to hell and you’d look forward to the trip.

    A TRUMPIAN TACK: {… a rhyme …}

    It’s hard to track

    The Donald’s tack

when he’s steering through rugged winds

toward a shore where supportive friends

    excuse his deceptive didactic

as their crafty hero’s tactic: -

    - Stretch-then-retreat like elastic,

    his brain-hence-his-tongue going spastic, …

    … confusing

    opponents by changings so drastic

    while enthusing

supporters by his style so bombastic.

As conservative pundit George Will correctly pointed out long ago, whoever Trump’s running mate would be, would be unqualified—because he would think that Trump was qualified. The same is true for any member of Congress who endorses Trump.

Bruce4671______There are not only a few million too young to vote, so unregistered. There are a few more million, resident but not citizen. There are a few million disenfranchised because of prison. And then there are a large number who can’t vote because of racist state laws and election officials. Reflect on that.

I think last night showed he is not ready to be as horrible as Trump, but he wouldn’t be great. He doesn’t like immigrants, foreiners or women any more than Trump does.

Huh? So, comments are limited to bold and italic text? Regular, non-bold, non-italicized text is unacceptable?

Pence was so smooth he didn’t see the need to answer a single question he was asked, and the tribe didn’t notice. The other tribe saw Kaine attempt the milder version of the interupter war path, but it didn’t suit his persona.

Hillary Clinton hand picked Tim Kaine as her running mate and potential successor. That was her very first error in judgment as CIC.

@emptc12I would say that the flaw isn’t in George Will’s argument, the flaw is in people who know (or should know) that Trump is unqualified, yet endorse or vote for him, anyway (for reasons of dishonesty, cowardice, or insanity—who am I to judge?) By the way, I miss your old “emptc epistles” that made the old Oliphant thread so entertaining. (I miss Oliphant, too!) But I suppose now that GoComics is tossing around characters like they would toss around manhole covers, there woul

Right and Kaine Hilary is supposed to be better? Lost a lot of respect for Kaine from that debate. Just makes voting for Johnson less a crazy idea.

Kaine was pretty weak in the debate. He interrupted too much. He still mopped the floor with Pence, who couldn’t answer any of Kaine’s factual points, and who lost his cool soon enough and started talking over the other two.

I didn’t think all that much of the moderator, who did try, but let a lot of Pence’s lies go by, probably because of their quantity.

Up above that would be “wouldn’t be enough room for them” (my—and every known intelligent life form’s take) on the legendarily idiotic GoComics new character limit.
