I can’t read the text. Don’t say “enlarge the image”, the text is crap. Making me work to fix the cartoonists’ script is not a part of enjoying a comic. Especially on a small screen.

Welcome to GoComics! I had no problem reading the font, fyi. My only complaint is that I like handlettering and this is a set font. I like old fashioned hand lettering… but it does work and I can read it fine..The art is awesome. It reminds me of Ralph Bakshi a little as well as Bob Camp. Script is unreadable on a 14" laptop.

The artwork is good, but the illegible text needs fixing.

I think part of the problem is that the comic was never made with GoComic’s size and formatting in mind. I think it was originally drawn to be seen at a much larger size than GoComic renders them at…hence the text issues.

Gosh, I hope I can remember what’s going on here. Every time I receive an update, I have to go back and start over. Maybe it’s just that it’s new and there isn’t much going on yet. I usually don’t have this problem with 2-a-week strips.

The art is really lovely, I enjoy just looking at his drawings (and am a leeetle jealous!) I also like the title of the strip, it’s intriguing, and I’d love to see a few more before saying anything else :-)

EVERYONE STOP INSULTING IT. This comic is great. It is funny and well drawn. Yes, the text is hard to read, but it does NOT deserve your bashing just because of that. How would YOU feel if you worked really hard on something and it turned out great, but then everyone said it was horrible?

I was irritated by the type at first, too. Just a quirk of how the upload works, not the artist. But I magnified, and yeah, it was fine. And the comic is charming, Bakshi, yes. To those who are so pridebound they consider needing to click a button a line in the sand imposition, consider what life was like before buttons, before zoom, before “picture phones!” We read the comics on crinkly paper and horrors! sometimes they smeared, and didn’t even register the colors properly! So, quit being so rigid. get a little exercise, click a button. It’ll do you good to recognize not everything has to be delivered on a silver platter for you to enjoy it.

Come back when you have had a few more semesters of art classes.

Looks interesting but the text is too hard to read!

I’m 70 and I had no problem reading the text when magnified. I’ll give it another day or two or maybe go back and read a few more. I think it deserves a chance.

I don’t understand why you guys don’t just use the little magnifying glass icon to enlarge the comic. If I do that, I can read it on everything from my iPhone to my 27" iMac.And I don’t have 20/20 vision…

I wasn’t too sure about this comic, but I just went back and read all of them from the beginning (of starting on GoComics). I’ve already given several of them stars. It’s endearing and sometimes beautiful and worth having on my daily list.

I really like this strip! Just finished viewing all the ones here from the beginning, and am a big fan now.

And while the legibility is an issue HERE for some of the strips, it’s perfectly fine at thespiritofthestaircase.com.

Maybe gocomics can do something about the quality of the images?

Can’t read the text, and I am trying to see it on a large desktop iMac.Picked up my magnifying glass, and still having trouble.Don’t make me work just to find out what the point of the drawings was supposed to be.Won’t be looking at this strip again.
