“You get a real good view of the body.”. Happy Independence Day to my fellow American readers. For the rest of you, it’s just another Monday.

We each get to strut and fret our hour upon the stage, as Shakespeare put it. So, the curtain falls on good old Dick. Or, as Arthur Miller put it, we get “the use of the house” (life) for our personal drama, but we get to play only a limited number of roles.

weakstream said, “For those of you living on the equator, what does your sun dial look like?”.It would make an angle 23.5 degrees to the south of the vertical at noon on the northern hemisphere’s summer solstice, with the sun directly over the Tropic of Cancer..It would make an angle 23.5 degrees to the north of the vertical at noon on the southern hemisphere’s summer solstice, with the sun directly over the Tropic of Capricorn..It would be straight down at noon on each equinox, with the sun directly over the equator..Smooth variations between those points..The dial itself could be anything raised above the surface and casting a shadow..Having gotten this far, I notice there is a picture of an equatorial sundial athttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sundial.whodathunk?
