Trump will probably pick someone worse than him as a vice president, so no one would want to assassinate him, but attractive enough to his base. Who could it be… I’m thinking Ann Coulter.

Hillary would not be all that different from Bill, who is considered to be a very effective prez by many. Many of us long for the days from a few years ago with the peace and prosperity of the 90’s. Yes, some didn’t like the Clinton administration. I am not sure what they didn’t like. Was it the peace or the prosperity? Surely, they can’t still be hung up on a few issues with Bill’s personal life. That was the most hypocritical criticism of Bill Clinton ever. You would have to throw out a lot of great leaders if you insisted that they all were perfect in their personal (sexual) lives.

Eugenics has gotten a bad name, but look around a Drumpf rally and tell me the gene pool couldn’t use a good dose of chlorine……………

No one denies that Clinton made some mistakes in his personal life. He is not the first prez to have made such a mistake. I am much more interested in what would affect me personally. The romantic affairs of a prez does not affect me in any way. Economic policies, foreign policy, domestic issues such as reproductive choice, equality, etc., these are the issues that matter. Thomas Jefferson is not defined by the fact that he had a sexual relationship with someone other than his wife, for example. FDR is also not defined by this, nor is JFK, and many, many others. Just because I am a teacher does not mean that I am not aware of history or that I am a simple Pollyanna who is unable to think in a much more sophisticated manner than you seem to think is appropriate for an educator.

Trump/Omarosa hands down.

President Sanders is a fantasy. I don’t believe we had a President McGovern either after the election in 1972. Too bad, but it didn’t happen.

It is all relative. I didn’t say there was no conflict anywhere at all, only that it wasn’t like what happened under GWB.

I hope the Democrats will refrain from gathering in a circle and shooting each other, since that won’t help at all.

The signing of DOMA by President Clinton was unfortunate, however, it was one of those times in which he was boxed in by his political opponents. These things happen sometimes in politics. They sometimes have to give in on something that they don’t want to give in on or nothing would ever be resolved. Shutting down the government is no solution, though many Republicans seem to think otherwise.

We can’t always do something about unjust things going on in the world, but when we can do something about it, it is in our own best interest (as well as others) to try and do so.

Unfair and unfounded attacks have always been leveled at the Clintons. They are both brilliant and capable people. I am sure that people will expect Hillary to live up to a completely different standard from anyone else. I have confidence that she will manage, as she always has.

Actually, as long as more people think like me, it is highly unlikely that I will see a Republican in office. I have never voted for a Republican in my life. So don’t be so certain.

As to fewer people voting, I do not support that at all. I am very concerned about voter suppression due to the so-called voter ID laws. All Americans should be concerned about voter suppression. As to Americans not choosing to vote, that may be an even harder battle to fight.

I am well aware that Clinton might not win. She has a much better chance than Bernie however.

By the way, I realized what puts me off in the non-classic strips. The noses when viewed en face. Really man, they’re SO bad.

The polls are becoming less reliable these days. Elections have shown that to be true.

“The trend is fewer Democrats voting, more Republicans voting.”.I think the trend is to not commit to either major party.The Democrats tend to try to enlist people who aren’t really committed under the assumption that such people are natural Democrats. That’s why we have Motor Voter laws whereby people getting driver’s licences are encouraged to register to vote and to pick a political party at the time..I forget which election it was but a number of minorities were scared to vote because there were law enforcement officers near the polling places. Not that they were overtly hostile, just that they were inherently scared of them and felt intimidated by police presence.The guilty flee when nobody pursues them.This is also part of why I believe we should let convicted felons vote while still in prison. More votes for my party.
