And yet, the other national political party has given itself literally over to billionaire sponsors and they seem to be running just fine. Seems Democrats are the only ones who actually are concerned with morals and it’s a given Rs are open to the highest bid.
Please stop playing the “they are stupid” game, it is worthless and disingenuous.-—————————————————————————————————————-Although you are quite a bit to the left of me, I tend to respect you and I would hope that you in turn respect me. I am NOT playing a “game” when it comes to Trump. Trump has proven over and over that he doesn’t know a damn thing about foreign policy, domestic policy, the constitution of the United States of America, history, or current events. He has publicly (and proudly) proven himself to be a worthless bigot. What would you call Trump supporters—“wise”?????
If Clinton wants to shut down the populist surge of Sanders she’ll need to untangle herself from her romance with Wall St. This includes the massive donations her campaign and the Clinton Foundation have received, the private speeches she has delivered to banking executives.
HRC represented NY State in the Senate. Anyone representing NY in Congress would be a fool not to listen to Wall Street. The world of high finance greatly influences the economy of the state and employs a great many New Yorkers. It is unsurprising too that large amounts of campaign cash would flow from The Street to NY politicians. One would similarly expect a lot of money from the auto industry to go to MI pols, the oil and gas industry to go to TX and OK pols, the coal industry to go to WV and KY pols. What is unacceptable is the seeming willingness of elected officials to take their marching orders from the titans of industry. One would like to think that our elected representatives are smart enough to realize that what any industry thinks it wants is not necessarily good for the population at large. Sometimes people and industry need to be protected from themselves, and their own baser instincts.

Really? Really! Elected officials smart enough?……Yes – smart enough to know who will pay for their favors, but not whom they’re supposed to represent

I fear HRC has too much baggage to continue. Sad, really, I was hoping for a female leader. Maybe Elizabeth Warren will reconsider.
