Donald, do remember, “lie down with dogs,…” While she may give you fleas, she can also make you seem intelligent and well-spoken.

John McCain has earned a few millennium in purgatory for inflicting her upon us.

In a way, I sort of admire McCain’s steadfast refusal to ‘own up’ to the disaster he foisted on this country...

@OldCoalAlaska is so different from all other states that it can’t really be a lesson (either good or bad) for the others. With so much of its land owned by the federal government, you could almost call it a national park with a side order of state……Oh, and lately things aren’t really going that great up there!

But getting back to Trump, let’s hear from conservative pundit David Brooks (about Trump and Cruz):Worse is the prospect that one of them might somehow win. Very few presidents are so terrible that they genuinely endanger their own nation, but Trump and Cruz would go there and beyond. Trump is a solipsistic branding genius whose “policies” have no contact with Planet Earth and who would be incapable of organizing a coalition, domestic or foreign.

McCain is a war hero. He survived captivity and torture.Trump is being wooed by Palin because she wants fame and celebrity. What better way to get attention than to hook up with an arrogant braggart?

@oldcoal Distribution of profits among the owners or shareholders is known as paying dividends, a practice conducted by corporations and is a precept of capitalism.

when will this Republican on Republican violence end? i guess it is time he told the truth – and as he is the front runner – the GOP must agree. You can’t be a war hero if you were captured. Are you with our MIA/POW or are you with the Republicans?

@oldcoal distribution of profit among owners and shareholders as dividends is a common practice of corporations and is a precept of capitalism. The socialist approach would be to keep those profits under government control and use them to reward the political party and grow the administrative bureaucracy tasked with doling out meager scraps to the populace.

I appreciate Mr. Toles reminding me of the subtext surrounding this endorsement. Namely, Mr. Trump’s open disrespect for Sen. McCain, who is solely responsible for making Ms. Palin a recognizable figure in national politics. Shakespeare could not have written a better, more devious, love triangle.
