There are currently 569 friends on my Facebook… including my own father and stepmother (mother died a few months after the creation of Facebook).

Earl is right. I have only 25 Facebook friends. And they are actual friends. Sadly most live hundreds or thousands of miles away. Traveling gets expensive.

I’m sure there are gerbils with more facebook friends than I have.

Facebook has many uses, though not all are worth the effort. For me, it is great to keep up with old high school and college friends (I don’t live near any of them). It is also good to keep up with the folks I used to work with but now are in different areas. And for work, it is useful to publicize our upcoming events, etc. However, of all my friends, I know them all.

3200 friends eh? Name them without looking at Facebook.

I am not on Facebook—but each year I send about 100 Christmas cards to people I know.

I refuse to join facebook as it is a complete waste of time.

I have 23 friends and relatives on Facebook. They are scattered all over and I love keeping up with them this way. As far as when someone dies, my brother-in-law died over a year ago and he is still my facebook friend. I think about him every time I see his name. Can’t bear the thought of deleting him.

Ah, TEMPLO S. U. D. : Must everything be what you want it to be? 569 ‘friends’? With my few 18 friends, we communicate almost every day . One of my ‘friends’ is deceased, but I still want and enjoy seeing his face every day; wouldn’t have it any other way. As for Pickles, we simply enjoy it for what it is: fun and laughter. Maybe you should seek more serious reading?

I am friend to all creation.It isn’t my problem that the universe doesn’t recognize me.I can forgive little things like that.

my mom’s got probably a 100 or a 1000 times more friends than i do. but it’s her way of self-publicizing for career purposes, networking, and pushing the careers of her friends.

I have about 25 or so friends, most of which are family.

For me, to be a facebook friend you have to be someone I regularly see in person or talk to on the phone. If I wouldn’t do that with you, because your not close enough…no farcebook friends for me. I my goal is to have as little farcebook friends as possible, down to 55 or so and I’m trying to figure out who I don’t see very much these days to drop off or to start visiting more.

It’s one of my favourite episodes even though I don’t have Facebook.

2000? That’s quite a bit more than me … See, this is why Facebook stinks. It makes people feel bad about themselves even when they’re reading the comics.

I have 2 FB friends – my daughter and my sewing instructor. And I belong to a sewing group. I ignore all other friend requests.

I totally agree with you Earl. I have no use for Facebook.

What’s sad is I do actually know or have met in person all but about 100 of the 337 people I have friended on facebook. I volunteer at an anime convention that will see attendance this year of nearly 6,000 people.

I don’t do any of the social media timewasters. It always amuses me that I must needs wait for the little symbols to load before I can save a good comic.
