If you only use it when there is actually something wrong, those sites can be useful. I correctly diagnosed my appendicitis that way a few years ago, and got to the hospital before it ruptured.
One of the problems doing that, is that not everything can be diagnosed by symptoms. Also, not every aliment is covered. I have something extremely rare, that it isn’t listed on WebMD. It was diagnosed only with a muscle biopsy. So glad I went to Mayo Clinic, instead of just websites. However, I do appreciate all the medical information available on the internet, because once you have been diagnosed, you can learn more about the condition.
This has caused at least a couple of visits to the ER…after saying “Why don’t you make an appointment with your primary?” fails, it’s off to the hospital. Usually some small symptom is found and then forgotten.

No, it’s always cancer, or some horrible auto-immune disorder that would ruin (or end) your life… if it were true.

“Well, aren’t you a ‘site for psoriasis’?”

So its name is “Psoriasis”? Nice of it to leave at least one of his eyes free to see the screen.

Looks like a mild case of Alienitis or incurable face cancer. Either way nothing to worry about.

You should always get your misdiagnosis from a professional.

So why is this page loading our messages twice, and not letting us delete just one of the duplicates? I’m glad it’s not just me, anyway….

@badcyclist: Site has a major glitch. Replies and other functions going “haywire”. Problem is occurring here and there, on all strips, site-wide.
