So is Holly gonna pick up the apron? I mean, it’s been awhile since it’s even been laundered…

Step 1 of building your post-apocalyptic colony: Never make with artificial stone that is “inflammable” because it burns easily, even though you’d think it means it wouldn’t, but it does. I promise.

Maybe an apron is the Endtown equivalent of a Hitchhiker towel.

Holly realizes that Kirbee has been carrying it all this time, and is overwhelmed with emotion. Throwing it into the flames cause it’s gross and covered with lizard cooties.

I know people have done amazing things under this kind of pressure. Kirbee should weigh less by about 1/4, so that will help, but if she could suddenly come to and scramble up the stairs by her own power that would sure help.I think to Holly her apron is her Hitchikers towel. She has used it as a tool in so many ways, and whatever tool you have becomes really important.

Just another thought. Wally throws the apron in the flames and tells Holly: ‘You don’t need it any more. Just like I no longer need my picture!’

I think it means the raccoon was there and blocked the door.

As they escape this chapter, might there be a future with the Duchess Flask?

I believe the apron is foreshadowing that Jim is about to reappear…

The apron isn’t a reminder of her humanity, it’s a reminder of Endtown. That’s where she wore it like a uniform. If she leaves it behind, she’s letting Endtown go and not letting herself be tied to it by the apron strings.

“inflammable” is derived from the Latin"inflammare", “to set on fire”. That’s the same Latin word we use when we say something is inflamed. However, just by chance, in our own language and following our usual rules, it could be misinterpreted as not-flame-able. This is a misinterpretation with real and dangerous consequences, so it is often replaced with “flammable”, which is not really true to a Latin derivation but at least does indicate something flame-able.

Ive always wondered why everyone was always wearing the same outfits. If i remember correctly during Kowalski’s orientation, you’re given several outfits. Granted, Wally came in differently i think, but he would’ve had a few extra shirts given, even tho he still carries that silly badge. Why does he still have that btw?Just asking….
