Thanks for your accurate commentary. Many people don’t know that the Bible is not just a book but a collection of books with varying genres – history, poetry, wisdom, etc. It’s better to think of the Bible as a library.
Btw, a word of advise, don’t try to read the book starting at the beginning (Genesis) straight through to Revelation. You’ll most likely stop at Leviticus and won’t get very far. It’s best to read it in such a way that you get the Salvation History story that runs through it. A great way to do so is to check out Jeff Cavin’s “A walk through Salvation History”.
