Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie Day For All It's Worth With These Scrumptious Comics
by The GoComics TeamThe exact date of the invention of the chocolate chip cookie is unclear, but that won't stop us from celebrating National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day on August 4th. What we do know is that chocolate chip cookies were invented by chef Ruth Wakefield while she owned the Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts in 1936. That same year, she published her recipe in the Toll House Tried and True Recipes cookbook. Nestle began printing her recipe on the back of their specially branded "Toll House" chocolate chips in 1939 (apparently in exchange for giving Wakefield a lifetime supply of chocolate -- that's good negotiating!) and the rest is history. And by "the rest," we mean precisely a bazillion brands cashing in on it with their own variations. Cookie competition is fine by us. The more mind-blowing morsels in the world, the better.
Here's our collection of chocolate chip cookie comics for you to dunk into your mind milk on National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day.

I guess Snoopy can eat chocolate, but he is a comic dog. Chocolate is poison to real dogs.

Sigh… Now I totally have a craving, but no chocolate chip cookies in the vending machine. Will have to make do with a candy bar!
