Funny thing is, the most PC thing to do right now is to be UN-PC!
In fairness to those restricting the word “crazy” (or a lot of the words we get bent out of shape about), a lot of that isn’t being overly “senstive,” as much as it is seeking to be accurate. This is especially true in the professions using those terms.
On the other hand, would I intentionally want to offend another person or cause them pain? No. Some would, I suspect.
The Jungian psych boys would define this whole bit of nonsense as Extraverted Feeling taken to an unreasonable extreme. In the very act of trying too hard not to offend anybody, that cognitive process ends up polarizing everybody while making most everybody afraid to say anything about it.

It’s not usually the word or words that are offensive, it is the usage of the word or words.
I prefer crazy to sanity challenged though. That’s a sanity challenged thing to do. Just doesn’t sound right.

And so begins this week’s theme: PC.
Wonder how this will affect Macintosh users…

I wonder if there’s a space Mohammad that we aren’t allowed to imagine in a bear costume.

So you can no longer spontaneously burst into a rendition of a Patsy Cline standard? Space is a hostile work environment, indeed.
