Getting back to the current storyline..I had made a fairly lengthy comment yesterday, likely moments before the unexpected delivery today. I won’t repeat it here..But today’s panel, along with the Christmas panel, along with the cover of the link to the Endtown auction block, all suggest that Holly and Wally are the current stars of this show, and likely will remain so for some time to come..Therefore, I consider it highly unlikely that Wally gets killed in his night in the ring. What he does to Belicec is another story, very unpredictable..By the by, Phil’s recently revealed last name – seems oddly familiar. Wasn’t there a recent sports figure with a similar name – who managed to get some undesirable publicity?.Oh my gosh! Endtown is getting topical?
Why not repeat it here?.Well, from the Department of Redundancy Department:.More strange thoughts here..How much Wally knows has not been revealed to us – other than he knows Holly was in the tunnels and, subsequently, the tunnels were being gassed..Flash back about a year ago (for us, a week or two for them) and the main conversation going on was between Wally and Holly – trying to decide what to do with these two Topsiders who had just surrendered to them..Holly wanted them dead. Wally wanted to listen to them..Now, Sarah has shown her true colors. Jim? Was he good or evil? (While he appeared to be good, many of you didn’t trust him – “once a Topsider, always a Topsider…”) In the mean time, does it matter?.Jim’s dead..Moreover, as has been speculated, Wally believes Holly is dead..At this point, it is conceivable that, for all of the tumult of the last few days (year for us), Wally may have come to the conclusion, nothing good came of taking in the Topsiders!.Not to mention, just how much like Topsiders these lizards have become..How this figures into Wally’s thinking, who knows?.(Some last minute corrections – as I noted earlier today, it seems highly unlikely that Wally or Holly are going to perish in this arc. However, what happens to Belicec and the other lizards is far less certain. While Darwinskeeper often advises me that Aaron is a very nuanced writer, and I agree, nevertheless, we still seem to be getting a pretty steady diet of how bad the lizards are, as well as how bad the topsiders are. That was the reason I wrote what I wrote yesterday – Holly wanted Jim and Sarah dead before we even knew their names, while Wally wanted to listen to them. The reward for Wally’s patience and understanding? From his point of view, it could be argued that no good came from taking in the Topsiders! And now, back to the story)
